How does the AMD Phenom II x4 695 BE stack up against the x6 1090T?

I will be doing some gaming, video editing, and a tiny bit of 3d modeling (not that important, but the other 2 are). I'll probably doing quite a bit of multitasking. So, should I get the x6 1090T or will I be fine with the x4 965?

Thanks. I'm trying to save some money on the build. Don't really know if I need the X6.

I also have the x6 got it for 149 on e-bay so was a good deal. I would go x6 as it gets close to the i7 in some areas. I know its not as good but it is quite close i feel no big diffrence between this and the i5 2500 I have.. Depending on what you need to get done they will trade blows. If you find a good deal go x6 you will not regreat it but I built my son 955 BE and it is great also so you will be good eaither way.

Thent

Hey man, Basically what your looking at is 2 cpus (obviously) anywho, The x4 core would be the par, for gaming, and work for rendering, such as engineering. Thats really all you would need, Because in gaming, you have 2 cores for the game (max 3 or 4) in the case of 3, the last core is for the tasks running in the back ground. IE, browsers, antivirus, etc. Anyhow if your a deep rooted developer, or doing extreme multitasking the six core would be for you. In my case i needed a six core, so i went ahead and picked upa 4 core 960T, and to my luck. I unlocked 2 extra cores, thats a 3.0ghz x6 processor @ 3.66ghz for 115.99$ Not all of them unlock but heck its a good deal.
