Good Intel Rig for gaming?

    Could you get a cheaper rig that would be just as good? Yes
  2. for gaming you dont need a 2600k--the hyperthreading doesnt really benefit gaming

    get a 2500k and use the saved money to get a gtx560ti instead of gtx560

    and get a hyper 212+ or similar and overclock the 2500k to 4.5ghz or so
  3. Games don't use Hyper Threading (HT). In fact, in many benchmarks (both recent and in the past) it has been shown that HT can have a very minor decrease in game performance.

    The i5-2500k is a better choice unless you know you will be using programs that can take advantage of HT.

    the hyper 212 doesn't support the intel, any others? please include link
  7. And also, should i get an SSD or stay with the hard drive
