Dual quadro 4000 vs single quadro 5000

The computer is a HP z800
2x 21" wide screen monitors
Cintiq 21UX graphics tablet
Ram - 12GB
64 bit Windows 7 Pro

I think a better power supply and add another quadro 4000 would out preform just replacing the quadro 4000 with a single quadro 5000. Am i thinking about this wrong by thinking a quadro 4000 dual card setup could would balance the video load better than having just one single quadro 5000?

Is there any documentation comparing a dual quadro 4000 vs a quadro 5000 or any sort of benchmark of dual quadro 4000 that anyone is aware of?

As far as I'm aware, the Quadro 4000 does not support SLI. The cheapest new Quadro card that supports SLI is the Quadro 5000.
