Recommend gpu for after xmas

I just built up my PC coming from intel P4 ( i know..) to:

penom II x4 840
asus am3+ board
8gb ddr3
550w psu

Im building a budget gaming rig w/ futureproofing (am3+)

using an old ATI X1650pro at the moment

what GPU should I be looking at for under 100 (before or after rebate) that will let me play modern titles (BF3) at high res medium/high settings? looking for after xmas sale so hopefully something decent pops up. thanks!

Right now, we can't guesstimate the prices of sales for after christmas... If anything, once the new AMD 7K line releases, a lot of the older gen video cards will drop in price.
