i have just built me self a new rig with views to become more of a gamer than just an internet surfer / Office user

i needed a sytem that was going to last me at least a few years and do well for work/gaming/porn so here goes...............

My Specs

Corsair Graphite 600T
Corsair TX850 PSU
Asus P8Z68 Deluxe (Planning to get a 64gb SSD and used the intel smart responce on the 17th of this month)
i7 2700k @3.5 (not clocked yet! going to wait a year for when i need the extra speed)
Corsair A50 Cooler
8 GB DDR3 @1600 (2x4gb Corsair Vengance Black) and adding anouther 8gb this month for video work
1Tb Hard Drive
2x Samsung Syncmaster 2433bw @1920x1200
Logitech Z5500

I kinda ran out of funds towards the end of this build and skinted out on me Graphics card.. Zotac GTX 550 ti.... (will do for a month or 2 kinda idea).. only a month old (£100 new from ebay) tho it worked compleatly fine on MW3 (infact it looked better than me xbox)... i know its not got the OOMF to run Battlefield 3 comfortably

now i have some extra cash i want to upgrade the GPU... do i buy a second Zotac 550ti and run in sli (dispite some of the bad reviews i was very suprised to find this isnt all that much of a bad card) or do i go spend £250 and get an Asus GTX 570 DirectCU2?

from what iv seen on reviews (2 gtx500ti can run just as well as the gtx 570) but iv been on a single GT 9600 512mb for the past 3 years so this GPU SLI thing is quite new to me?

If you could get another for 100 dollars, sure.

A GTX 570 would be EVERY so slightly better from what I've seen.

It all depends on 1) if you can sell the 550Ti for anything, maybe even a profit? 2) if you could get another one cheap.

Go for the 570. With that CPU, you'll be able to get another 570 down the road for SLI.

I'd suggest the 570, you never know how smoothly SLI or CFX work. Some games they're great, but always assume at your worst you're stuck on single card performance. You can always grab another 570 down the line when they're dirt cheap after the GTX600 are out.

right im gonna order me GTX 570 tomorrow

MY SECOND QUESTION... will my Corsair TX850 PSU be ok to run every thing in me case? or should i upgrade to a 1050w psu aswell?

The TX850 V2 will be fine for twin 570's though I'd suggest the XFX Core Edition 850 as it gets the same exact jonnyguru performance rating of 9.5 but is $35 cheaper.

$90 XFX
$125 Corsair

im also in the uk and for some reason! it also cost more for computer parts here... also i decided to get anouther gtx 550ti as i found on on ebay for £40 quid... so i got two zotacs gtx 550ti in sli for £140 or $218....compared to the GTX 570 which is (£260 or $406) as my mother board is gen 3 pci-e x32 then im going to get a new DX12 GTX 6xx series card when they come out next year(around march/april i think) and then bump these to gtx 550s into a mini gaming rig im gonna put together for my tv in the front room!.....

good idea or waisted ,money?
