ok, NO pc's are going to be future proof.

That being said.

Look at my build (My signature)

Take that hd 6870 make it a 6750

And that sub standard mid range gaming pc you see now.

Will be your i5 chip, and hd 6950 computer you make today for 1k, tomarrow (1-3 years down the road) will be that computer.

THAT BEING SAID.

I would rather spend 600-800 dollars every two years. as i do.

Than get the top of the line pc, to max out all the games OVERKILL i mean 120fps.
For 1k 1-2 years.

THAT BEING SAID.

That simplistic cheaper version of the day, (mine with the 6870 shown in the signature) cost me 700 dollars, But i can max every game out (bf3 ultra high) except for the BF3 standard metro 2033 games. At 40-90 fps. I Save money and...

Dont know why you need to spend 1k w.o playing games, but computers get outdated in like 2 years or so.

Intel Pentium G850 $88
ASRock H61M/U3S3 $70
Hitachi 500GB 7200RPM $80
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 $25
Windows 7 $100
NZXT Phantom PHAN-001WT $110
Lg 22x DVD Drive $18
Antec NEO ECO 400C 400W $45

Total: $536 w.o ssd.

hehe...I am mostly doing it just to build, but I dont want to cheap out because I would like to keep it for a while. I know it sounds weird haha, maybe it only makes sense to me.
