Rebuild my case please read!!!

Hello,
I have a Dell duimension e521 case and gutted out the motherboard power supply pretty much eveything and i wanted to lwearn to build my own.... i was wondering if it were at all possible to build a gaming CPU with this using about 500 dollars the components i kept were:
1.) Ge FOrce 9400 GT video card
2.) a dvd writer drive by samsung
3.)a drive made by seagate 320 gb
4.) 1GB RAM
5.)ports for SD cards and such

If this is possible to do then reply and if its not i will end up buying this.......

Not only the HDD, keep the card reader and the dvd writer too, then u will need:
*4GB of RAM from g.skill or corsair
*a CPU such as an i5 or i3 ur choice
*a GPU(video card) i would say NVidea GTX 550ti or 560
*a motherboard(according with what CPU u get)(if u get enough DDRs u can add that 1GB of RAM to ur 4GBs)(if u get a motherboard with SLI u can use the GPU u already have with the GTX 5xxti)(most motherboards come with sound cards)
*a PSU (not sure what to recommend here, corsair, antec and seasonic are all safe)(not sure how many Wats u will need, i'd say about 600W)
*maybe a case fan to help out on cooling.
