Ok, I have just finished my very first computer build!!!

The HD5670 in their now is a loan. I need my own.

Budget ~$250 give or take.

Specs: Preferably Radeon (i like catalyts control centre)

I saw on the back of BF3 it suggests a 6950? But a friend said 2 6790's were just as good, alsso I here good things about the 6870, any ideas?

The specs are in the sig.

Yeah it has higher clocks and the same GDDR5 ram, at around the same speed.

The thing about that is when you have something with higher clocks and the same RAM, it might not be equivalent to another card.

See, the Radeon HD6870 generally has a core clock of 900MHz. That may seem better than the lower 800MHz 6950, right? No.

The thing is, while the 6870 has a clock of 900MHz, it has only 1120 processing cores (think of those like a dual-core or quad-core cpu, with more cores)

The 6950 on the other hand, has a lower clock of 800MHz, but puts it through 1408 processing cores, making it much faster than the 6870.

Also, the Radeon 6870 has a memory clock of 4200MHz, while the Radeon 6950 has a memory speed of 5000MHz. The memory...
