Upgrade for FRAPS'ing

Hey guys. I'm trying to do some theory here and I want to know if it's possible. So, theoretically, I have to get a separate drive to record my FRAP's to to reduce my FPS lag. If I bought a 64GB SSD, put my games that I'm recording onto there and recorded the videos to my hard drive, would that eliminate the lag? It's the lag because the game and the FRAP's are both on the same storage device?
