6970 crossfire

Hey i just installed my 2nd 6970 XFX and the fan on the 2nd card is super loud and i cant get it to slow down, also CCC wont recognize my 2nd card

any help on how to get my set up running properly would be much appreciated

MOBO asus maximus IV extreme-z
CPU 2600k
PSU corsair HX1000

you had made a big mistake that you are using XFX products as a result they become louder and hotter that is always make you unhappy the google says more than 60% users of XFX particular it's GPU's continously complaining so if they are in under warranty get them back.

when they run by themselves they run fine and arnt loud at all, but when i run them both whenever i start my system the 2nd card ramps up to almost full fan speed and doesnt go down and i cant get CCC to recognize that a 2nd card is even there.

have you install latest drivers?

It's running louder because it's having to work harder to pull in air though the gap between the two cards. It runs fine when you have it one at a time because it gets enough air without the second card on top of it.

Try moving your second card down a slot so there's a space in between. Should help quite a bit with airflow.

tried all of the above, still cant get the card to be recognized, so i cant get any control over it whatsoever
