So my GTX 460 (MSI Talon Attack) is dead (sniff...) and now it's time to buy a new one. Of the newer models, i'd go with a Radeon 6870. But my CPU is a Phenom II X4 965.

So my question is, with a Radeon 6870, will my processor become a bottleneck? Should i just get another GTX 460?

You can go with 6870 , 6950,560ti or what video card you want.

Yeah, but will the 965 really let me take advantage of those cards, won't it fall behind and become a bottleneck?

Try 'ANY'. The 965 is fast enough for any graphics card.

No it won't. Your 965 is an excellent gaming processor and will run any video card you want just fine.

IMHO, you should avoid AMD/ATI GPUs. Buggy drivers.

I heard that it isn't in the 6000 series GPU.
