Approximate Purchase Date: 2 days (Feb. 8th)

Budget Range: $750-$800

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, surfing the internet, watching movies, light video and image editing

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS, HDD (I am considering adding an SSD though)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com, tigerdirect.com, amazon, POSSIBLY Micro Center (I have a friend out of state that may go for me and ship the products, but the deal would have to be pretty amazing to go that route.)

Country: West Virginia, United States

Parts Preferences: I would love a Lanboy case. I hate sharp edges on cases and preferably no funky designs like strange lightning bolt-ish angles (the toms recommended case for budget gaming looks that way, yuck.)

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: If the price is right, but in the future for sure.

Monitor Resolution: 1680x1050, 1920x1080

Additional Comments: I appreciate any help you all may offer. I prefer not to get the cheapest possible PSU.

$748 and you are set up to overclock and for SLI / CF down the road. The CPU for $180 @ Microcenter may be worth the hassle of having your friend ship it to you.

dont get an AMD computer... its obvious that intel has the uperhand in gaming when their two core i3 2100 beats a phenom ii x4 @4ghz.
