im asking cause im unsure, every where i look every one seems to have the 1gb version, can any one tell me what i could expect using this set up, thank you. note ill be overclocking my cpu to 4.0ghz i know it doesnt matter for bf3 but i figured id mention it.

You are correct that the cpu does not help much in BF3 so that is why it takes a good quality video card to get top numbers.

You can use this link to the TH benchmarks for BF3 to see what you need to do to get 60 fps.

As far as the Ultra settings go you may be able to play the game on Ultra settings but if a GTX 570 can't get 60 fps on Ultra then I don't think your going to get there with a 560Ti. At 1920x1080 a GTX 570 is getting 50 fps.

At 1920x1080, any amount of memory above 1gb is for the most part irrelevant. Only at resolutions of 2560x1600 and up do cards with more than 1gb of memory benefit from the added capacity. So really, the 2gb 560Ti should perform identical to any other 560Ti model with 1gb, if all other factors are equal (e.g. clock/memory speeds and the like)

This is a better option than the 570 for BF3 IMO. I run two of these in SLI.

BF3 EATS VRAM. And you need 1.5GB + to not experience stuttering or FPS spikes.

Ultra in BF3 is very demanding. A single 580 will not consistently run 60FPS on ultra @1080p in some maps, especially B2K.

You really need two of these to get 60FPS minimum on ultra in multiplayer.

I think the cheapest option to run BF3 in ultra @ 60FPS minimum is actually these 2GB 560tis or a pair of 6950 2GB.

GTX 560ti even in SLI and with all the overclocks and all..cannot do bf3 on all ultra at 1080P and get 60fps. You need 6950 2gb in CFX for that or higher.

And yes you need more than 1gb vram for bf3 and since dual cards don't double vram you need

570/580 sli or 6950/6970 CFX for 60fps at ultra @ 1080P. There are lots of posts in this forum about peopel who got 560ti SLI and are surprised to see why they can't do bf3 ultra without disabling AA and even some AF.
