I was hoping for 1920 by 1080 :)

Not even close at Ultra, I lagged on the highest settings in WoW with one GTX 260, at 1920x1200 this of course was in 25 man raids and cities, but it still happened frequently. That card will definitely play WoW at that resolution, just not Ultra by any means.

Helltech lagged on a Nvidia card...............
Anyways...
I run dual HD 4650's. I run in ultra everything and get about 40fps in SW.
But, if I knock down shades to low, then I pick up 60fps.
Also, WoW is more network dependent. Lots of lag issues come from bad internet conditions, whether temporary or permanent, and get confused with system performance.
If you have a good ping like I do(9 ms nominal) then you don't have much if any problems. But then again, I live right next to Khaz Modan's datacenter in Los Angeles =D And it was a huge difference from when I moved from Washington ST to California.

A 6570 is a fair amount weaker then a 5750. At ultra at 1920x1080 on a flight path, which is much less intensive then a busy city or a 25 man raid with the spell detail settings at max, a 5750 just barely cuts the mustard.

Also it has nothing to do with a Nvidia card. In fact Nvidia cards run amazing on WoW. A GTX 460 is 15 percent weaker than a 6870, yet does BETTER in WoW than a 6870. So...yeah.

Well a 6870 is more then you needed for sure, but you'll be happy with it regardless. Congrats on your new card, you'll love it.
