Hello, I want a gts 450 by gainward 2GB. It requires 400W(I have 400W). Will it work on my system, as I'm on the minimum psu reqs. My worries were also because I have 3 HDD's ( 1 external, but always working) and 2 DVD-ROM's.

What do you think?

Oh, and I know you're going to ask for the make and model of the psu, but I don't know it. When i Have the chance I will open my pc and tell you ( I beleive it is a good one). Can you answer me without telling you the make and model.

If you can't, take the psu as a good one and answer me ;) thanks

Also someone more knowledge on video cards correct me if I am wrong but 2GB is a waste unless you are gaming at very high resolutions or duel monitors which you won't be able to do with a 450 gts anyway. Again I am no expert on this subject matter but to my knowledge you can pretty much just go with a 450 gts 1GB and achieve the upgrade you are looking for.

Yup, aceking22 is right. 2 GB nly useful if you playing with resolution beyond 1080p. Anyway, the 450 don't have enough horsepower to handle games at that res. As long as you have 6pin PCIE connector, and good PSU, you good to go.

thanks alot! I am buying the 2GB because in my small country (Malta, Europe), we only have the 2GB of the gts450. And it's not worth it buying it online (because of the shipping).

Another Question if you don't mind: In my country, we only have two different gts450, MSI and Gainward. Which do you think I should buy? these are the info for the two:

msi: http://www.msi.com/product/vga/N450GTS-MD2GD3.html#?div=Overview

gainward: http://www.gainward.com/main/product/vga/pro/p00656/p00656_datasheet_12794da6868c58b0b.pdf?s=920

thanks again!
