Hi all,
here is my current equipment:
AMD phenom(tm) 9850 Quad-core processor 2.50 GHZ
RAM 6GB
64-bit
NVIDIA Gforce 9300GE

I am wondering if my cpu can handle the Gvidia GTX580 and 590, and which card shall I go for? and which manufacture ASUS or EVGA ? my monitor is 1600 * 900 resolution.

Thank you

Solution
A 6950 or 560ti would be plenty for your resolution and cpu. A 590 would be overkill and your cpu may bottleneck it , would be a good idea to overclock it.

A 6950 2gb is the best choice for your system. Anything more powerful will be limited by your weak CPU and other components. Further, the resolution you have is too low to full exploit GTX 580. As far as 590 is concerned its never been logical to buy that given its price...2x 570s perform better and cost less.

Thanks for the quick reply. So what CPU do you suggest to upgrade if I really want to have a high graphical performance ?
