New video card for laptop

I have a toshiba laptop with an i7 processor and a low grade video card. With out opening it up is there any way I can know what shape or size I need?

When I'm browsing for cards, what's the difference between a "notebook" and a "laptop?"

Basically what general knowledge do I need to know to begin narrowing down my searches?

Laptops and Notebooks are generally the same thing. As for laptop video, that is usual integrated on the system board.

most laptops dont have replaceable video cards

and the ones that do the cards are hard to find and very expensive
