ASUS GeForce GT 520 Silent Fermi 810MHZ 1024MB 1.2GHZ DDR3 PCI-E VGA DVI HDMI Low Profile Video Card

I was going to buy the above card at NCIX then thought it might not fit or work in my PC, I have an Asus P5AD2-E or I could use it with my MSI P965 Neo, I want to build a survailence system and want to have it as quiet as possible, I already have silent CPU and Power supply only to find out that my ATI Radeon now sounds like a jet, does anyone have advice before I buy, I can't find much about this card.

Thanks
Jim
God bless

Solution
I've owned a 5570 in the past and it' virtually silent. The card itself has such a low TDP it never gets hot so their's no need for the fan to ramp up.

My fault.I meant the 6570 not the 6670.

Any of these will work but they all have fans. It's up to you what you want to do...

I did come across a fanless version of the 6570 but it's from newegg. Can you order from the canada site of newegg?

Looks like a good card. I don't see how it could make any noise at all if there is no fan. Unless your talking about EMI you should be fine. I'm not sure how much electronic interference it may send out.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, the noise I am refering to is from my existing card, I need help selecting a new card to replace the one I now have, how can I be sure it will be compatable with either of my motherboards?

Thanks, I haven't found any new info yet, I'll wait a while, I want to be sure my P5AD2-E Premium Asus will accept this graphic card.
Thanks

The power supply is a OCZ Technology 500W with individual plugin cables,

My Video is a ATI Radeon X-700 Pro which cost me 295.95 in 2005, don't you think the ASUS GeForce GT 520 Silent Fermi 810MHZ 1024MB 1.2GHZ DDR3 PCI-E VGA DVI HDMI Low Profile Video Card is a better card, why is it so cheap??
Prices sure have changed, I see that I paid $288.95 for 2 X 512 MB DDR2, they were on sale this week $6.00 2 X 1GB DDR2.

I don't think I would buy that card, first it has a fan, probably not silent, and the many negative comments I saw don't give me confidence.

If you come across a card that is silent, reliable, even if it cost more please let me know.

Thanks for your help

God bless

Thanks all, I'll keep looking, both GPUs I now have make lots of noise, I have silent PSU, CPU cooling, large slow case fan, now I want a silent GPU, thanks for all the help.

God bless you all

Please tell me more, can I make my card silent, one day I disconnected the fan to see how much noise is was making, it ran for about a minute and crashed, didn't hurt it though, that was almost a year ago.

Thanks, I never heard about that approach.

God bless
Jim

Well it helps in picking out a cooler because you need to know if the cooler will be able to effectively cool the card.If the card has a higher TDP than the cooler supports it won't work well.

Honestly tho I think getting a cooler for the card is a dead end.Just go for the 6570.It's silent and much more powerful.
