Replace power supply in inspiron 530s nothing works

I replaced power supply because the fan failed in the original and it was overheating. Turned it on lights come on but nothing else happens. Wireless modem link lights up also. No image on monitor, no sound, nada. Fans don't come on either. Rechecked plugs, all are in right place and firmly connected.

ever consider just replacing the fan? ;p
