Hey all I have almost finished shopping for my new PC build.

I started with my old case as I will just gut out the old system and sell the components. Its a galaxy 3 case.
I'm not bothered about looks though.

Then I got this bundle

Intel® Core™ i5-2500K, 3.30GHz : overclocked to 4.5 GHz by seller.
Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3 Motherboard (Socket 1155)
16GB (4x4GB) Corsair Vengeance Dual Channel DDR3 1600MHz
Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 CO CPU Cooler

here is the link

all that for £363.97 or $575!

I then bought a OCZ StealthXStream2 700w Silent ATX2 Power Supply 80PLUS

and a Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 6870 1024MB GDDR5

so to round off

Intel® Core™ i5-2500K, 3.30GHz : overclocked to 4.5 GHz by seller.

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB 32MB Cache Hard Drive SATA 6Gb/s 8.5ms 7200rpm - OEM

I will replace unit fans with :
Coolermaster SickleFlow Blue Case Fan - 120mm,
2 x Xilence Red Wing Quiet Fan - 80mm

added a Akasa Fan Control Junior just for fun

all in all about £600

Cheers in advance for replies!

agree, you might eventually think about getting a closed loop CPU cooler like corsair h70 or some huge air cooler like the silver arrow. Your huge motherboard has huge voltage regulation and OC potential.

Agree with xtreme about the graphics as well. Playing any battlefield 3 or other graphics intensive stuff? 6950 or 560ti (either one) would be great if you can work it somehow.

If you dont feel like waiting on a graphics return, just wait for AMD's next generation of 28nm graphics cards. If you find the 6870 to be inadequate, you can OC the mess out of some cheap 28nm card next year or earlier and sell the older card.

Thanks for the replies!

Rig is now built, runs at a lovely 29-31 degrees C idle and about 38-42 C gaming.

I may X-fire the 6870's in the future

I'm thankful for the replies though.
