What is the wattage on your power supply? It will usually tell you on the sticker of the big box in the corner

A GTS450 does not use a lot of power by today's standards (8 amps - 100 watts). A good 400 watt PSU with more than about 25 amps on the 12 volt rail will power your system.

No, that connector is for the CPU power. You have to find the 6pin connector, otherwise you have to use adapter.

If you didn't have 6pin connector, you might want consider to get a new PSU. Because it is not recommended to use adapters if your PSU cannot handle it, might blow it up.

This PSU will do it. That's the cheapest (I think) quality PSU that can handle that card.

Motherboard can't have 6-pin connectors mate. PSU does, See all the cables from the PSU and see if it's end are like this:

If you do have, then you have a 6-pin connectors. That's what we mean mate.
