Stripping case paint - Soda Blasting?

So me and my brother are about to dive into a case mod which we spent the last few weeks discussing and planning but now it's time to do something. First up we want to strip the paint off the case so that we can then apply a custom paint job, my dad has a soda blasting gun (air compressor which shoots soda essentially) which he uses to strip paint from Motorcycle parts, he assures me it wouldn't be to abrasive though I'm hesitant because I don't want to accidentally ruin the threads for the screws or something. Does anyone have any experience with soda blasting and/or stripping paint from a case? I'd love to hear what other people have done or some good alternatives.

No problem there, I did it and paint was the only victim.

+1 to nikorr

yep soda blasting should be ideal for the job

it wont damage the screw threads as its not too abrasive
