ok im about to get a low profile 6670 http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0062HIQLU/?tag=graphicscards1...
and i have a hp pavilion slimline s5-1014 and it says i need a 400 watt psu and i was wondering whats psu's work with the slimlines i think it is only tfx psu but can someone help me find a 400 watt because i cant or can i just use a 350 watt or 300 watt instead or would that work? and does volts and pins on the psu mean anything either?

a 300w PSU is fine for that build, you don't need a 400w PSU

here are your PSU dimensions

(7.9 x 3.3 x 2.1 inches)

this seasonic is
6.9" x 3.3" x 2.8"
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

so it's not as long, width is the same and it's slightly higher only because of the bottom fan (not an issue). it would be my choice as an upgrade.

ok man thanks and do you think a 6670 would probably be the best low profile card for my build? or si there any other card that can use a 300 watt psu thats low profile thats better?

not really, the amd 6670 is probably as good as it gets. the AMD 7750 uses little power also and will run off that seasonic. i have yet to see one in low profile though (i don't even know if they plan to make them in low profile)

350 watt should be enough if it has enough amps on the 12v rail. What system is it? Model? It might have an ok PSU, I don't see the 6670 pulling 400watts.
