I have been looking at the Canon Multipass F30 as a replacement for an HP printer and Microtek scanner (7+ yr old). I hope to get decent copies at the push of a button. It seems like the best deal to me, low print costs, high quality prints & scans. Then I saw the user review below on Amazon.com.
We have two computers. Right now, the printer is attached to one, running Windows 2000, and shared to the other, running Windows 95. I plan to do the same, initially. Eventually, I may decide to go parallel to one and USB to the other, or get a print server, to network the printer - and new computers, probably running XP, are in the future. I only need to scan from one machine, but need to print from both.
Anybody have experience with this?
Thanks - Pete

Great printer and scanner and copier, but only if you attach it to a stand alone computer system. If you have a home network with Windows XP you cannot use this machine. Can't even attach it even if you don't plan on sharing it. Windows errors and system crashes will happen. It's going back. Disappointing since Canon has no plans of writing a better driver.
