Trying to find a suitible CPU

Hello im trying to build a nice PC for gaming (as well as browsing and some work).
I am probably going to get the Nvidia gtx 550 and i would like to know which of these would be best suited and best value for money.
Intel Core i5 2380P Quad Core 6M Cache 3.10 GHz
Intel i5 3450 Quad Core 3.10 GHz Requires Z68/Z78 Motherboard
Intel Core i5 2450P Quad Core 6M Cache 3.20 GHz
Intel i5 3550 Quad Core 3.30 GHz Requires Z68/Z78 Motherboard
Intel Core i5 2500 Quad Core 6M Cache 3.30 GHz
Intel Core i5 2500k Quad Core 6M Cache 3.30 GHz
Intel i5 3570k Quad Core 3.40 GHz Requires Z68/Z78 Motherboard
Intel Core i5 2550k Quad Core 6M Cache 3.40 GHz

I believe they are in price order as i just copied and pasted off the site.
the other question i wanted to ask was with the ones requiring Z68/Z77 motherboards is it worth spending the extra on those mother boards.

How much are you looking to spend? What board do you have now and are you willing to spend the money on a new motherboard if you need to?

Let's say money isn't an issue ( it is atm but I can pic up extra hours work to pay for it should I need to) and atm I have no pc I'm building (well a colleague is) from scratch.

Get an i5 3570K and a Z77 MOBO - Best Option

Get an i5 2500K and a Z68 MOBO - Second option

Get an i5 3550 and a H77 MOBO ( Best option if your not OC'ing ) otherwise its the third option......


Its your Choice....GOOD LUCK
