First of all, just built my new system today with lots of help from this board - and it's great! However, today after the first bootup I of course go directly to the gaming I want to do with friends (League of Legends), and just for interest sake I downloaded speed fan to see how my system was handling it. I was amazed to find that all of the cores of my cpu were at 80 degrees celcius and I was all like :o . I checked all of the fan exhausts and felt cool air coming out, as well as taking the panel off and feeling the exhaust off the cpu cooler - also cool. Figuring it must be a mistake I downloaded Core Temp and got the same readings. As I sit here now with nothing running but google chrome and skype, I get this readout:

Can anyone tell me why my average temps are so high??

System:
Intel i5-2500k (not overclocked, stock cooler)
Radeon HD 6870
Gigabyte Gaz68ma-d2h-b3 mobo
1tb hdd I had
500 W Corsair Cx-500
Pny 8 gb RAM
Sentey Abaddom Extreme Edition with 4 (FOUR!) fans all running.

Thanks in advance to all who take a look.

Make sure the pins on the stock cooler 'snap' in when you mount it.

edit: sometimes you have to push hard.

Thanks for the help, thought I had pushed as hard as I wanted to whenever first installing it, but took both sides of the case off and pushed to break an 2 of the pins snapped in - hasn't been above 40 Celsius since!
