im new to building and looking to build a gaming rig on a 1600$ budget not sure which way to go for best performance amd or intel been an amd fan for many years but not sure about the new bd cpus for gaming any advice will be very helpful

It seems pretty good. I'd suggest you pick a z68 board though so that you can use your ssd as a cache to speed up your hdd. Personally i'd opt for a single 7950 rather than 2 6950. It uses less power, less heat compared to 2 cards in crossfire and it won't have any problem in games compared to the usual problems faced by multi gpu systems(micro-stuttering, etc..)
