Asus M5A97 PRO with AMD FX-6100

I have brought a Asus M5A97 Pro and FX-6100, but will not boot!
When I start the computer, everything seems fine, the fans spins, but my screen in black!

Some of these AM3+ boards require a BIOS update to run FX processors, so you may need an AM3 CPU to upgrade the BIOS first.

So I must find a AM3 processor, plug it in, and update bios and then use FX-6100?
Does it work after that?

I would hope so. To be certain, I would run through the following checklist:

If you are certain you have done everything correctly then start the rma process for the motherboard.
