Is my amd athlon ii x4 630 2.8ghz bottlenecking

Hello,
i have an amd athlon ii x4 630 2.8ghz and a nvidia gtx 560 and when i play arma 2 and there is alot of stuff going on i start to lag but when i look at the floor i dont lag

Yeah it is, I had the athlon 620 with a 460 and it bottlenecked my card, I'd say try to get a phenom ii like the 955 or higher.

thaks im probabally gona get the amd phenom II x4 975 now it looks like the best my motherboard can use

prolly u should upgrade ur memory first to a 8gb kit of 1600mhz, and before buying a processor u should try to unlock the l3 of ur athlon II x4 i had the same model and i was able to do it... once unlock there will no difference at all ;)

i was told that games now adays dont support over 4gb ram also i cant overclock because my computer is hp

True, there are only a handful of titles out there that have 64 bit exes that allow them to use more than 2GB of RAM, or have the LAA flag enabled allowing them to use up to 4GB of RAM. However, you might be running out of RAM if you run lots of stuff in the background while playing, as some games will use up to 2GB on their own.

I try running task manager in the background and alt tab out while playing, if you see the CPU graphs all at 100% constant, then you have a CPU bottleneck. If you are running out of RAM, the Physical Memory Usage line graph will also be right at the top. If those two things aren't maxed out, then your GPU is where your bottleneck is.
