System shutsdown abruptly! works fine in safe mode!

my lenovo laptop y410 shut downs abruptly but worked fine in safe mode.

a repair guy tried cleaning the fan and the heat sink and reinstalled the processor on the sink but it did'nt work

he tried alternate ram and hdd it was also useless.

i tried formatting c drive and installing xp from usb drive. but it installation keeps shutting down at "installing devices' step can you help me ??

Sounds like an issue with device conflicts, check your IO interrupts and, pull unneeded USB and other devices. I am betting you are loading limited drives and control programs in safemode. Check your autoexec.bat and config.sys to see what you are loading on start-up (also start-up folder). Remark out your unnecessary services and devices and then re-enabling them one by one while stability testing after enabling. If I were you just for grins I'd try restoring your registry. Based on the installing devices failure it is also possible you have one of said devices intermittently failing or failed and need to replace.
