So this is my 1st gaming build and I would like some advise. I have about a $800 budget that's with OS. Everything was priced at Newegg. My biggest concern is the CPU, Motherboard and Graphics card.
Case - COOLER MASTER Elite 430 $49.99
Motherboard - GIGABYTE GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68ATX $117.99
Video - SAPPHIRE 100315L Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express$134.99
PCU- COOLER MASTER eXtreme Power Plus RS500-PCARD3-US 500W ATX12V v2.3 $34.99 after rebate
CPU - Intel Core i5-2500 Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) $209.99 With free tool $14.99
RAM - CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 $49.99
HD - Seagate Barracuda ST500DM002 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" $84.99
Optical - ASUS Black SATA DVD-ROM Drive Model DVD-E818A7T/BLK/B/GEN - OEM $18.99
Cooler - COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 $29.99
Win7 Home 64 $99.99
$831.90 with OS
$731.91 without OS
I might have an OS so I hope to save the $99 there.
Should I upgrade to the 2500k for overclocking ability?
Is 500w enough power?
Motherboard?
At $134 is SAPPHIRE 100315L Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 a good card for games such as WoW and SWTOR.
Any other info would be great. Looking to get this going in the next few days.
Thanks all,
Shawn
