Hello,
I'm not a big time gamer, but I'd love to play fifa 12 and other popular games on my PC. I have a 2gb ram, dual core processor (2.5ghz), 20inch LCD and windows xp on my PC.
My budget is INR5000 i.e approx $100

Thank u in advance

Solution
yes your mobo is x16 that's ok but video card has no relation with memory if your mobo is ddr suppose so you can put any graphics card with thier latest tech GDDR3 or GDDR5 they should work well.

i hav MSI G31TM-P21 motherboard.
Slots
• 1 x PCI Express x16 slot (PCI Express Bus SPEC V1.0a compliant)
• 2 x PCI slots (support 3.3V/ 5V PCI bus Interface)

How much PSU is gud enough ?

That means 2.1 PCI-E cards are not compatible. Including 6770.

A good PSU is decent branded 400W+ PSU for you who want $100 GPU.

I don't need to change my mainboard right?

i do wanna hav 4gb ram, but right now i m on a tight budget of $100. So those another 2gigs will have to wait.
I've heard 5670 consumes a lot of power. Is it better than 6670?

ok i think i'll buy 6670. Which company is gud? i like XFX.
and wats d difference between the GDDR3 and GDDR5 models?

Simply, The difference between GDDR3 and GDDR5 Is the VRAM (Video Random Access Memory). GDDR5 Is a faster type of memory.

XFX is fine brand, but I heard they have high temperatures. They come at decent price. I have never try any XFX products. Try them out anyway. Temperature should be fine as long as it doesn't reach anywhere above 90 degrees C.

if you can find out the SAPPHIRE version it's better than XFX cause XFX gpu's getting hot.
Well gDDR5 has very high data bandwidth compared to the gDDR3

ohh OK i was going fr xfx cos someone told me thy have better heat sinks. anyways i actually went to market and i found dt sapphire is cheaper and much easily available.

And one more thing. as u kno my G31 motherboard is PCI Ex16 1.0 and is a DDR2 supporting board. Will it support a GDDR3 or GDDR5 card?
