So I'm looking at getting a new graphics card and I've got my sights set on the Radeon HD 6870 series.

Coming from a Nvidia GeForce 260GTX, I want something that will be significantly better in terms of core clock and the # of stream processors. My current card just doesn't cut it anymore, I really want to run APB: Reloaded with more than 20Fps :p

I've narrowed it down to these three cards, which by coincidence all happen to be made by the same company, HIS. I want to know what is the difference between these cards besides their price tag, and what will most likely run cooler and fair better with minor overclocking.

They are in order from lowest to highest price.

number of stream processors and core clock are not something you should be looking at when chosing a gfx card. some cards can do more processing per clock cycle than others and some one stream processor in one card may do more work than 2 stream processors in another card. Look at reviews and in-game benchmarks, it is the only way to tell a cards true performance.

I thought if they were in the same series it was okay to compare stream processors/core clock because they use the same GPU? I know that if you do when there not in the same series your results will be inaccurate.

But my real question is what is the difference between those 3 cards? I'm pretty set on the HD 6870 series so I'm gonna go with those cards but I want to know whats the difference besides the display ports, price and casing. I'm sure the IceQ and IceQx run a lot cooler...I can't find specific benchmarks for each product but I did see benchmarks for the 6870, 6850 etc. (http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/)
