How about this: i5 2500K CPU ____179.00 Micro Center
Biostar TZ68A+____109.00 Micro Center(motherboard)

The i5 you mentioned is the best out of your selection. If you don't mind a simple Overclock, get the i5 2500k, like mentioned, 4ghz is easy and for some requires little to no voltage tweaking.

If you do not plan on overclocking I would go for the i5 2400, but really if you can get it at $179, i5 2500K is an AWSOME deal. then look for an inexpensive p67/z68 mobo... just my 2cents though.

It just doesn't make sense to spend money on the Phenom II platform right now, as it is being discontinued.

Don't get the coolermaster Extreme power plus 500w 12v v2.3 power supply. It only has a 6 pin pcie connector and you need a 8 pin (6+2) pci e connector for the 6870. The "elite" psu's are very dodgy as well. Get the i5-2500k at microcenter amazing if you want to oc the cpu which is easy get this motherboard..good value http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813157271 .
