I have many questions about a computer

Ok right now I have a pavilion slimline s5-1014 and I'm looking to get a new video card and if instead of me getting a low profile card i was wondering if I could get a normal card if I just bought a larger case for my cpu, and how hard would it be to put everything in it and if it would all fit right, I would be getting a psu as well. The card I would be getting is a radeon 6870, and I was wondering if that would fit into my mother board that comes with the slimline. And one last question is would the intel pentium e5800 be a bottleneck for the video card and hender me playing games such as battlefield 3 with like less then 45 fps.
