Mobile VS. Desktop Processors

Hey everyone! I have recently bought a laptop with an intel i7-3610QM mobile processor and I am wondering what is it's relative performance compared to desktops equivalents. I've read a lot of articles on desktop cpu performance but I can never find any on mobile.

this is a hard question to answer.

in gaming you are probably loosing 10-15% on a desktop equivalent cpu and while rendering or similar tasks you are probably loosing about 30-40%.

those are extremely rough figures though

Desktop processors and laptop processors are the same, the only difference is power usage and CLOCK SPEEDS.
