HD 6950 non-reference unlocked

Now that i have unlocked my non-reference hd 6950 card to 1536 shaders but the clock speed is the same 800/2500, now do i have to OC the clocks to HD 6970 speed? or leave it stock will i gain any perfomance from stock shaders to 1536 shaders on my hd 6950?

Yes you will gain performance with the extra shaders even at 6950 speeds. If you want 6970 performance you will have to overclock it.

thank you. but the AMD overdrive don't let you tweak the memory clock to 1375 but only to 1350, do i have to use other overclocking tool for this to achieved 880/1375 clock speed?

Probably you would need a different tool but I personally would not worry to much about the 25MHz difference. It does not affect performance nearly as much as the GPU speed.
