Power supply question

Hi I want to put 16 gigs of ram into my computer and to add a radeon 6870 vid card,anyone know how much wattage it takes from a power supply

  1. HD6870 will run on a system with a quality 450-500watt PSU! It needs two PCIe power connectors from the PSU.
  2. For a system using a single Radeon HD 6870 graphics card AMD specifies a minimum of a 500 Watt or greater power supply. The power supply should also have a combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 30 Amps or greater and have at least two 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.

    A combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 30 Amps should be enough to handle a system with a factory or manually overclocked Radeon HD 6870 running Furmark GPU stress testing.

    You can use this to estimate your system power requirement. You can input your processor, number of RAM sticks, graphics card, how many hard disk, fans, etc... :
