I am not a serious burner, but I do not want to make coasters. The Lite-On is 60 dollars cheaper than the Plextor. What is the deal on the Lite-On? Is it repackaged Plextor?

I do'nt know man, i've heard they're not so good. They look good to me in SPECS, but I haven't heard of anyone that has one so can't really say.

It's better to be pissed off than pissed on :)

Lite-On is excellent.
It is not only cheap but also stable.
Moreover Lite-On 8X can be overlocked to 12X.
Even Lite-On 8X has burnproof.
It is great,isn't it?
So go to purchase it immediately.
Yot will not regret.Trust me! ^-^

Do you work for lite-on or something? Cause when it comes to quality they are at the bottom of the chain.

I think I have one; came with a Micron. It seems ok. It hasn't broken. I don't know about any specs. Can I really overclock it? I didn't know that you could overclock a burner. Not that I know much. If that isn't already clear.
