I am completely amateur with computers.
I recently acquired a new pc from my friend. when he gave it to me it had no hard drive. I tried installing one but when i try booting i am confronted with the error : 'STOP: 0x0000007B (0xf789E640, 0xc0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)'. Can anyone shed some light and tell me how to possibly fix the problem , or simply tell me what the problem is? Cheers. :bounce: :bounce:

Go into the BIOS. Change the AHCI to compatabillity or the other way. The drive you have had the OS built in one or the other. The only way to fix that is run in the correct mode or reinstall windows.
