ATI Overdrive Issue

Hello,
I have a crossfired 5850 system with 2 screens I noticed in the ati overdrive it read 400mhz gpu, 1000mhz on memory andd 55c temp, the other card is a 1/3 of this. However if I disble my second screen the above drop to match the second card. Why is this??
This also effects a single card 2 monitors teble everythign disable second monitor everything drops

its a specification from multi monitor setup aka eyefinity as soon as you hook up a seconde monitor the clock of the first card goes up
to second clock mode to compensate the demande of a seconde monitor

by default you have 3 clock state
idle= your second card lowest clock at idle
2d clock= for normal daily use (flash player movie etc)
3d clock = gaming and high demanding gpu application
