Is going from X6 1055t with Gigabyte890xa-ud3 to i5 2500k with ASrock z77pro3 worthy upgrade for gaming only and will it increase my(gtx670)GPU load my 1055t at 3.5ghz causes bottleneck.

Solution
yes, going from 1055t to 2500k is alot better idea, those amd cpu are not good for games, and couldn't handle sli/cf.
Get 2500k then see your performance.

in games like skyrim and crysis 2 witcher 2 BF3 my GPU Usage is 80% MAX it is a bottleneck but i can live with that but in game like ACR Operation raccoon city Risen 2 Alan Wake Prototype and others my gpu gets as low as to 40% like in cities or if i look one way my fps will drop this is why i was thinking going with intel i5 2500k heard its way better thne my 6 core witch does not even use 2 core in gaming

no it is definitely noticeable and i use MSI Afterburner to see frames and cpu load in ACR its like i look one way fps is capd at 60 gpu usage 40%+ but i look other way towards the city my fps drops to 30+ and gpu usage is at around 40% same in Risen 2 but in some areas gpu load gets to 85%- fps is 60 but in some areas gpu load drops to 35%+ fps 30+. but if i sad money was not an issue by worth i mean pure performance increase in games only.

Best way to increase GPU load is to increase resolution. In your case you are at 1080P if you get two other monitors and extend the display over all three you will get 100% GPU load and now the GPU gets to be the limiting factor.
But as I said before the I5 2500K is going to fix it somewhat and give you more fps but it is up to you to decide if it is worth the platform change!

Hi Chroned_Wind,

How did the switch in processors work for you? Do you think the upgrade was worth the price?

I have a 1055t and a gtx 460 but was thinking about upgrading to a 670 and while i was at it get an i5 if it was worth it.

Thanks
