There is actually a pretty decent performance diffierence between the GT 540m and the GT 555m.

If you are the type of person who prefers to play strategy games, then you will probably want a quad core CPU. If you prefer playing first person shooters, then you should get the faster GPU.

i think your right, but think about the future, more games are starting to use quad core, and Gt 540m is not much apart from gt 555m

I'm gonna tell you one thing: SC2 on a laptop is hard to play, often quite laggy. Unless you NEED to have a laptop, go with a desktop. Also, SC2 does rely on CPU almost as much as GPU... The i7 would probably outperform the i5 just because of this.
