Hello;

I have i5 760 cpu on gigabyte p55a-ud3. I have undervolted the cpu to 1.05v with all power saving settings on and load line calibration on, the vcore stays at 1.02v whether under load or idle, when llc is off the vcore ranges between 1.01v idle and 1.02v underload, but when I put voltage to default in bios, it ranges from .85v on idle to 1.25v under load.

So why my cpu is not idling to .85v when I manually enter cpu voltage whether llc is off or on ? :pt1cable:

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards.

Well, 1.02V is a low voltage anyway, so leaving it there 24/7 won't hurt anything. And there's no disadvantage to leaving LLC enabled, should you choose to. It certainly won't damage anything. LLC is just used to help keep voltage constant under load (not allow Vdroop).

Hello DJDeCiBeL;

thnx for your reply, is there a setting in bios to make it idle @.85v and not goes above 1.02 underload ?

regards.

Hello DJDeCiBeL;

sorry for bothering, but what do u think, is it better to be on default and range between 0.85v to 1.25v, or stay 1.02v all the time ?
and would load line calibration on or off hurt anything in the mobo or cpu?

reagrds.
