Need your guys help with this on converting DAT file to an MP3. Downloaded a song from Kazaa Lite K++ and that's what the format of it was.

Is a DAT not a incomplete download???

Rename it to .mp3 and see if it plays.

I've done something similiar. Parts of the song will be missing though.

Yea, and DAT can also be an MPEG file (like from a VCD), cept it's just audio. Not too hard to figure out how to convert it if it is though, just use TMPG & convert it into a WAV file. From there, use LAME or whatever for the final conversion to MP3.

Nevermind on how to get that to work I just redownloaded a better one that's mp3 and thanks for all the help.
