Unless you are going to be using more than 2 SSDs save your money .

That's actually a great deal. On my mobo/case, you have to snake a long (not long enough to clear a video card) cord coming from the inside front of the case through the back, then plugged in to the USB 3 in the back. Effective but messy. This adapter would allow a direct connection to the header on the mobo. In my case I would just remove the bracket and use it as an adapter.
