I recently installed an old ati all in wonder pro, into a system with an xp operating system the ati install software is for Win 98, I get (Device information file missing) and install is aborted. Where is it looking for this information?

It is looking for an inf file with the information for the video card.

Is it looking in C/windows/system?

You are not going to find it. With windows 98 and Xp are different and just like a game from win 98 you won't be able to run that on XP.

There is a way to do it but to much of a problem. There was a thread last week that we were all talking about playing win 98 games on xp and up.

Had something to do with virtual box. You might have to go on line and look up that old ati card and see if they have updated downloads in order for you to use it on todays systems. I had to do that with my Keyboard. Just a thought.

The card itself works fine Ati or AMD is really good at providing drivers for their product, what I need is the tv tuner software.

Same thing applys look for the MAFG of the tuner and see if they have updated software so you can run it on Win XP.
