I already have an intel i5 2500 processor and 8GB DDR3 RAM. What do you think? Will this rig last me a couple years of high gaming settings? And are there any cheaper alternatives to the items I'm looking at with the same amount of performance? Also, I checked to see if all my parts are compatible but just in case is there anything I missed?

Your build is unbalanced. You buy a weak PSU and a expensive case and motherboard.

Thanks for your suggestions. Shaved some money off my price and i got a better graphics card! haha

The only real reason I wanted a pricey case was just for vanity really cause I want my new rig to look good. I switched the case though with something more up my alley. I wasn't sure on the motherboard, thanks for helping me decide on that.

I'll go with the 570 gtx because I hear Nvidia gtx is really good with certain games. And about the SSD... I really think that's a must have for me because having nearly instant load times seems pretty awesome. No more staring at the computer waiting for things to load. I don't need that much memory. The amount I have in the new build is about 50gb more then what I use on my current gaming computer, SSD included. Every time I finish a game I usually just delete it, and I try not to clutter things up.

Anyway this is my first actual time building a computer, so any further tips would be appreciated. Check my updated list if you want

Thanks haha so as far as you can tell everything is compatible, right? Btw i went ahead and just went with the 560. From what I see from benchmarks the FPS difference isn't that high. If I have problems with fps rates in the future ill just SLI.

To answer your question, an aftermarket cpu cooler is not necessary with a 2100. For $5...
