Question Re: Radeon 5450/Hdmi

Last response: in Graphics & Displays

I am thinking of purchasing a radeon hd 5450 graphics card. Eyefinity support.

It has vga, dvi, and hdmi. I need to run three monitors. No gaming, strictly business (spreadsheets, charts, etc.)

I am almost positive this card will support three monitors? http://www.amazon.com/HIS-Radeon-Silence-Express-H545H1...

The three monitors I have do not do hdmi..... but all have both vga/dvi. Is there an easy way to use the hdmi input on the graphics card and turn it into dvi?

Thank you so much in advance.

Yikes.... Thank you very much for your reply....

AMD's site says that the radeon hd 5450 (with displayport) should support it, but I am having a hard time finding/ differentiating between which cards have displayport and which have hdmi.....

So confusing!

That card does not support Eyefinity. Radeon that do support Eyefinity clearly states "Eyefinity". Additionally, the video card must have a DisplayPort as it is a requirement for Eyefinity and the following are possible connection combinations:

Option #1 = DVI / DVI / DisplayPort
Option #2 = DVI / HDMI / DisplayPort

The following is the least expensive card on Newegg which supports Eyefinity:

Since your monitors do not have DisplayPort or HDMI, then you must purchase the following two adapters:

#1 - Active DisplayPort Adapter

#2 - HDMI to DVI Adapter

No. It does not specifically state Eyefinity support.

The Radeon HD 6670 I linked to does support Eyefinity and it is also cheaper than the card you selected at Amazon.
