I know this isnt the right section for this, there were no sections for monitors that i saw. Anyway, i am looking into a new computer monitor, an acer 21.5" to use for my xbox360 that i have a vga converter cord for (which i use right now to play on my old 17 inch monitor) The new monitor has full HD and its over 20 inches, would it use a DVI port or a VGA? do they usually have both? i need either a vga port, HDMI, (which are easy to find VGA-HDMI converters), or for it to have a port for VGA as well.

Also, when you use an HDMI/DVI-VGA converter, would it change the signal so i still get HD graphics from the xbox? or will it just make it so i have 720p graphics on a 1080i/p monitor?

the monitor is an acer g215h
thanks.

Most monitors come with both VGA and/or DVI, HDMI. They make a DMI to VGA conneters. I am pretter sure your new monitor does come with a VGA hook up. Have you looked at the specs on your new monitor? It should tell you what inputs you have.
